BEFORE BUYING OR RENTING A STAIRLIFT

Straight Stairlifts - These will only go in a straight line and do not change angle or direction in any way.
Curved Stairlifts - These will go around corners, can change direction left or right and can wrap around banisters at the top or bottom of your stairs.
We would always recommend a survey by one of our Engineers as there are often different solutions which maybe be suitable for you or the user - This can be done virtually if its not possible to visit you for any reason.

Stairlift prices can vary a lot, generally it depends if you need a straight or curved lift for your stairs, but also door ways at the top or bottom can determine what type of lift is required. This is why we offer FREE no obligation surveys and don't worry, Our Engineers can normally offer several different solutions to be able to recommend the best option for your situation.

Usually, straight stairlifts require a 28" wide staircase, while curved stairlifts need around 30" (depending on the shape of your stairs). A stair lift is powered by two batteries: When you use the stair lift to move up or down it is the batteries that operates the unit - not your home's electricity! When your stair lift is installed, it stays plugged into a standard wall outlet so that the two batteries can recharge as-needed.

AM Stairlifts can often offer a same day survey visit. Our surveyors are all qualified engineers not sales people. If the engineer is unavailable in your area we can work around the customer time. If you have a specific date in mind, we can arrange an appointment to suit you.

AM Stairlifts can provide on the same day or next day stairlift delivery & installation depends on the stock and area.

On average, a stairlift will travel around 0.15 meters per second (0.34 mph). Stairlifts move at a low speed so that users feel safe and comfortable as they move up and down the stairs. In total, an average straight staircase journey can take around 30-60 seconds to complete.

Curved stairlifts are more expensive than straight stairlifts as the rails are made bespoke to fit your staircases unique shape. The seats on curved stairlifts also have a self-levelling mechanism on them to keep the seat level throughout their travel automatically.

A M Stairlifts offers 1 year warranty on reconditioned stairlifts and two year on brand new stairlifts. We also provide "extended" warranty and some stairlifts "life time warranty" . Every stairlift model has different weight capacity but usually minimum 18 stone and we can almost provide a stairlift for most people. All our stairlifts come with two remote controls and new pair of batteries and the warranty.

Your life would get much easier and you are still available to use the staircase while you have a stairlift. Even if you have a power cut generally you are able to use the stairlift up to 10 times. The stairlifts are easy to use and are not complicated at all.
